Standard telescopic covers
Born as simple projections of the machine tools sliding guides, the telescopic covers or telescopic protections in steel evolved and became an integral element of machine guards.
Telescopic covers are necessary high precision devices which allow a perfect machine activity, preventing malfunctioning and heavy extraordinary maintenance costs. The telescopic covers can be built in iron or stainless steel with a variable thickness and equipped with accessories necessary for the correct functioning, such as sliding blocks, rollers, shock absorbers and oil scrapers, expressly selected for carrying out their task for long periods.
Our designers study every telescopic cover starting by customer’s needs and propose the more appropriate solution, considering Metal Gennari high standards as a base in terms of precision, quality and price.
We can study innovating and special solutions: for instance, in case of a massive presence of lubricating-refrigerating fluid, it is advisable to use the stainless steel but, considering the high friction produced by this material, it is necessary to isolate the elements through suitable inner measures, such as scrapers and first contact strips in brass.

RUNNERS Usually used for telescopic covers with speeds below 20 m/min.
ROLLERS Usually used for telescopic covers with speeds above 20 m/min. Or for heavy covers
BUFFERS Usually used for telescopic covers with speeds above 20 m/min. Located at the opening and closing edges to reduce noise
WIPERS Consisting of a steel outer protection and an inner layer of oil-resistant rubber |
OPEN/CLOSED LENGTH Measurements available directly from the machine or from the control panel * Basic measurements for the construction of the telescopic cover CLOSED LENGTH* OPEN LENGTH (EXTENSION)* STROKE OPEN LENGTH – CLOSED LENGTH = STROKE |
